LONG story short...Here is my 1981 Trans Am I purchased on June 7th, 2004. My FIRST Trans Am (besides the toys growing up).

Here it is the day I got it (after washing) I paid $1000.00 for it with all the parts you see on the other side of the car.

Another angle of it the day I got it.

Here it is on inspection day April 2005

Car was originally a Gold Turbo Trans Am. Its hard to believe how long it takes to reach your "goal" with your car. I love the 77-78's and that is what I wanted, but, i couldnt pass this one up at that price. So, I put the plan in place to put the 77 "look" to my car. The color is PB3 Blue "intense blue pearl" which is a dodge truck color that was out around 1998. It also has Prismatique rainbow sparkle in the clear (which im not overly crazy about). BUT the paint job was already that way when I got it and it was decent enough to drive with it on there for a few years.
Just to customize it even further, I went with the SE style German lettering. Which was never done in blue from the factory. Im considering putting blue SE stripes on as well.
The extra parts that came with the it paid for the car! The car had a 69 pontiac GTO 400 in it with antifreeze in the oil. So we yanked that out and put in a 403 with 455 heads, slighty modified, headers, 2.5" pypes X pipe system, 750 double pumper holley, roller rockers etc. Its a WS6 car too!
I had to gather a few interior & exterior parts for the car, not too much, but, it all took time!
I made all of the decals myself...drew the hood bird & lettering on the computer and cut it all out with my vinyl cutter.
It is a fun driver, not a show car. She is far from perfect, but, Me, my wife & kids have SO much fun in it.
After purchasing the car I became very obsessed with T/As and even went on to draw a concept Trans Am off of the Concept Camaro!!! Where does it end?!?!?!
