This is the project that has had to take precedence over The Phoenix. This is supposed to be my daily driver. I had bought it to replace my other Blazer (same year and everything) when it's engine gave up the ghost, but this one ended up also havine engine issues. So rather than risk it I started tearing it down. I tosses around the idea of swapping in a 350, but gas prices and the cost of everything I would need on top of just rebuilding swayed me to keep the 4.3. The biggest problem is that this particular version of the 4.3 was only used for about 3 years and parts are higher priced because of that. Again, I considered swapping to a different version, but the cost of the extra parts needed would still keep the price up. Besides, this version has the highest hp of all but the supercharged Typhoon engine. ;)

When I'm through I'll have made certain alterations to the engine to boost the hp as well as semi-easy body mods to make this more unique. ;)

Keep us posted Larry.

I did the 350 swap into an S-15 and it can get costly.

Have fun!

Yeah, I've done it a few times. They were all oder ones too, with 2.5s and 2.8s. I know the 4.3 trucks are easier, but still.

If you come across any place to get engine rebuild kits for the "W" code 4.3 I could really use the info. So far the only one I'v found is Flatlander Racing and they want $500 and include a cam that I don't really want.

Thanks, but that's the wrong year engine. I need one for a '94. They completely changed the intake and heads after '95.

Edit: I just looked a little further down and found one for mine for $415. :D
