Still fighting with the shaker hood. Let me tell you what ive been up to with the car. It just got new body bushings, radiator bushings, control arm bushings put on. I had a formula firebird hood on it and I wanted to put a shaker hood on it. Now that the shaker hood is on its way out of whack. I cant believe there would be that much difference between the 2 hoods.
Right now the hood is slammed tight at the fender back by the passenger side window. and there is a 1/2" (yea, that much) gap along the drivers side front where the hood is by the front facia. We have the hood on the hinges all the way forward on the drivers side and all the way back on the pass side.
We did some measuring from the corner to corner (rear fender bolt on pass side to front fender bolt on drivers side) it was 71.5 on one measurement and 71 on the other.
We also measured from the floor up to the top of the Rad support on both pass & drivers side. It was 27 and 5/8 on the drivers side and 28.5 on the pass side.
SO, obviously SOMEthing is out of whack. But WHAT and WHY. My garage guy said that the subframe is square to the body.
Do you have any suggestions, thoughts, tips??? It is getting really frustrating i know that. I just cant believe that there would be that much difference between the 2 hoods.
Thanks in advance!

Kevin

I posted this in one of the other groups. Have you checked the rad support? Sounds like it may be tweaked. That would cause what you're describing.
