Well since there isn't alot of 4th Gen Input on here I thought I would add my little History Lesson.
Around Jan `97 I rolled into a Chevy Dealership looking at used F-bodies
My ride at the time was a `79 Trans Am with 208K on the body and and 120K on the Engine (rebuilt 400 Poncho out of a `77 T/A). This car served me well for 7 yrs as a DD and Street Racer. But I was looking for a something newer, I was originally looking at 3rd Gen Formula's and Trans Am's but this Red `94 Formula Hard top caught my eye. Needless to say later that week I drove that Original 25K mile Formula home. I added a K&N FIPK and a Throttle body Airfoil after a few weeks and proceeded to have plenty of Fun. fast forward to August `97 when I raced my first LS1 Car driven by a GM engineer, this thing blew me away pretty easily. So now my mind is rolling over how I can get an LS1.
FF Jan. 1998 I place my Order for a Navy Blue Metallic Base Formula with a 6spd (No cost Option) GSC Tires (No cost Option) and the Security System w/Keyless Entry $240.00
I ordered a Formula because I didn't want Leather seats or T-tops which were Both Standard on all `98 -up Trans Am's. I didn't Order the WS6 Pkg because I didn't want to pay $3,000 for an option that added Zero HP.(yes I knew this even back in early`98.) Although I will say that in hindsight I should of ordered the WS6 Pkg, Because only 2 NBM Formula WS6's were built in 1998. I do have a Factory Ram Air Hood on the car now but only cause I couldn't pass up the deal at $250.
I knew I was going to Street race the car so I orded a dark color that blends in with other vehicles and a Hard top M6 which is the lightest Combo for a V8 Bird. Car ran consistent 13.50's at 107mph box stock and cleaned up alot of Muscle on the Streets of Detroit for the first couple years. A base Formula looks identical to a V6 Bird so I caught alot of people off gaurd.
Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the car as it appeared originally. My Sig pic shows the car in it's current form. Soon to be Cammed and Slammed _________________ Craig

Nice car. I would love one of those with an LS1 in it. _________________ It's all fun and games until the cops turn up.
