Hi all!
I just thought I'd throw up a few photos of my diecast collection.
Just as a tease, I'll post up a few of my 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am diecast, since I have the real car.
First off, here is a photo of just a few of the Pace Car version that Greenlight put out in 1/18th scale.

Yep, these are just the dupes.
I have 2 displayed already.
1 opened up, and displayed in one of my glass display cases, the other one still in the box, displayed with all my other 1/18th Birds still unopened in the boxes.
Also, note the Gold version on the top of them.
This is a chase version, with only 66 made.
Here is a better closeup of the gold version:

And, my best version, the so-called Green machine version, only 30 made.
I have 2 of them, both unopened.

And here is the Pace Car version displayed in my one glass ddisplay case, along with some other TA diecast.

Greenlight makes some truely beautiful thirdgen diecast, including the GTAs.
They have just released the production TTAs, with a build of 1550, and a hardtop version, with a build of 360 versions.
I don't have the hardtop version yet, but I do have a few of the T-Top production versions (these both come without the door/windshield decals).
I will have to take some more photos to post up for you to see.
Anyone else have/collect these?

Enjoy,

George

That green one loos amazing, George! I had an opportunity to acquire the gold TTA at last year's AutoRama. One of our clubmembers was offering it for $250, but that is too rich for my blood, even with it being such a rarity. I may get one someday, but it won't be at the top of my wish list for some time.

As always, I am awed by your collection.

The Green Machine version just sold on a website, for $210.
The gold version is pulling from $300 up to $450!
A guy I know, is selling both as a set.
I want to say around $500.
Let me know, and I can check it out for you.
Now, did you get the regular TTA version, or the hardtop version yet?
How about the 1/64th scale version?
The Green Machine version of that scale is going for over $100!
One pulled almost $200!
I got one for $115!
But I got it.

My TTA (number 2019 I think) is the regular, T-top version. And yes, the 'T-yop comes out as more of a 'targa' piece and the locator pins break off very easily. Ask me how I know this... :(

I don't have any of the 1/64th TTA's. Instead, I have the '87 Black Bandit Formula 350, the '88 red Barrett Jackson GTA and the '89 black SpeedTV GTA. Third Gens are definately the most deficient area of my collection.

So,
Your car is the Pace car version, with the door decals, right?
Here is the regular version.
Image
The regular version is limited to 1550, which is the build number of the 1/1 scale cars.

Also, check this out.
I put this together for the Firebirds/Trans Ams of Greenlight, in the 1/64th scale.
I am working on one for the 1/18th scale.
My list with build numbers, along with photos of the Green machine version, which is Greenlight's chase version of each car.

Impressive, George! Most of those, I wasn't even aware they existed. Nobody (and I mean nobody) is currently carrying the Greenlight line in this region. And that is really bogus, because we have a huge car-culture fan base and nearly year-round cruising. Our only 'down months' - if you can call them that - are Dec-Jan-Feb. The local clubs sponsor events right up thru Thanksgiving and take a breather for the holidays. Then they fire back up in early March. Even during the off-months, some clubs do indoor shows. So you'd think the diecast companies would recognize that and be beating a path to these parts.

I agree with you on the Greenlight thing.
However, you can't blame Greenlight.
They make and distribute only, they don't sell.
Places like Toys-R-Us may carry the 1/64th scale, but not the 1/18th scale for some reason.
I have only been able to get them on-line only.
Only once did I find a 1/18th Greenlight at a store, and that was in Las Vegas, and only once!
No one in this town even has diecast.
You want diecast, go to Wal-Mart, and even that's not asking for much.
Hot Wheels and matchbox is about it.
Even though we have a Super Wal-Mart, the diecast is very sparse.
I found 2 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Ams in 1/64th scale in Daytona Beach earlier in the year, and no where else.
I have since bought another 30 of them on ebay.
The prices are higher on ebay, up to 20 bucks apiece, but I own the car, and I am looking for my car number (#231, which, all Greenlights in all scales have numbered bottoms).
I'm sure I will be buying more too.
Just like the Lane Firebirds, I only find them on ebay.
