Still looking for a Pontiac 400...code YS, Y9 or YZ (YS preferred).....build date of April '76
.
Complete engine wanted but will settle for useable matched block, crank, and heads...

I may have one, I have had 3 76 Ta's I still have 2 motors, I will check what ID's they have on Monday.

I have 2 400s for sale.

1969 Pontiac 400.

9790071 - block near flywheel
0751565 - block front stamped
E059 (i think or maybe 5069 or 6069??) - on heads
3 6 - on heads
D N - on heads
L - on heads, large

The heads on my 400 engine are 62 heads.
and my block is a YS code.

350 hp engine, high compression, big valves. I was told is a 53,000 mile motor. Unfortunatly it has antifreeze in the oil...it could be something as simple as blown head gaskets...could be worse. Thats all i know about it. It did run when i took it out.
