A column shifter on a bird? Strange looking, strange thought. Different though.
I think that it removes a little sportiness from the car. But, still very neat to see one done like that. _________________ 1979 Pontiac Firebird Redbird

Yes, that is different. I've seen a 73 SD with a column shift. _________________ Keith

I believe that is the car that was built custom for the president of the SCCA back in the early 70's, I read about it somewhere and seems that he had a thing for red cars. _________________ Mark Haynes

That's one of the few that I've actually saw before. I do prefer the console shifter anyday over the column shifter, though! _________________ 1979 Pontiac Firebird Redbird

If the color can be factory documented, it would be worth a lot as a 'Factory Freak' (borrowing terminology from HPP and elsewhere on this site). But as far as my own personal preferences, it would be pretty far down on my wish list. _________________ work in progress...

its documented- all the way down to the colom shifter- see what time and money can do
nice to be rich, and plan 50 years in advance- (as if you were going to be the same age), as when you ordered it
