Ready for the Weekend Edition

April 5, 2008

I would like to thank everyone for making all the new forum members feel right at home! You guys make me proud! We are nearing the 1000th article milestone. The next milestone will be to reach 100 members, so sign up all your friends.

Racing Section
It’s here! You guys wanted a special section for those birds that ruffle feathers with their rumble, so we are proud to launch the new SCC Racing Section called “Thunder Chickens”. Thanks HotWings for requesting this section. Not only did this section get launched, it launched a new era for SCC. Plans for an official SCC Racing Team are underway. The SCC Garage has begun preparation to house the multiple cars involved in this team. Stay tuned for more news.

SCC Custom Hot Wheels Project

Those SCC Custom Hot Wheels are selling like crazy! Each of these cars come sealed in a numbered blister pack. The cost of the SCC Custom Hot Wheels is only $25, plus shipping. Remember if you hurry and preorder before April 11, you get an SCC t-shirt with your car. SCC Website Facelift
I have been very busy with my return to my day job, but with the help of some very gifted designers, which I now have the privilege of calling great friends…my special thanks to Kris Huen from Motor City Threads and Kevin Morgan from Kevin Morgan Designs for helping with all the changes. The SCC Garage (the online forum) recently got a new garage door thanks to Kris. Now the funny thing is my shop (the physical SCC Garage) got a new roll up garage door as well. The website homepage and the About Us page got a few changes and a Projects page was added. Now two more major changes are coming soon. A new online auction site is under construction and the new www.sccgarage.com site that is also under construction. Stay tuned for their official launches. The sccgarage.com will be the new starting homepage for SCC, which will make it easier to jump from the website, to the forum, to the store, and to the auction site and back to the forum.

A Famous SCC Forum Member
You can all say, “You knew him when.” Kevin Morgan has made it into High Performance Pontiac Magazine with his Trans-Am Concept Car Design. Way to go Kevin! Go check it out in the June 2008 Edition on news stands today and drop him a (PM) to wish him “Congratulations”!

My Return to My Day Job
Well, I am happy to announce that I have returned to my day job and completed my first full week this past week which brings me a little further down the road to recovery. I am still stiff and sore, but that is to be expected. My family and I are truly blessed and humbled by all your thoughts and prayers! Thank you! This experience has taught me to be thankful for everyday and every breath. Each minute with my family is now more precious. I thank GOD for allowing me more time with them. This experience has also taught me that prayers are POWERFUL!

SCC is Worldwide
This has been an amazing experience for me personally. I realize that the internet is worldwide, but I never dreamed that SCC would be. There are members from Australia, Nova Scotia, Canada, and the UK just to name a few. I know I am leaving some out and my apologies for that.
